Although this book was written for those who suffer from headaches, depression, and constipation, it was primarily of interest to me because I have suffered from depression for about as long as I can remember and was interested in pursuing Yoga as a way to help me deal with this problem without having to take anti-depressant medications (which usually have nasty side-effects). In addition to using Yoga to deal with depression, it is also good for those who deal with PTSD as well.The book begins with an overview of depression and how it can really cripple one's life. Depression leads to low self-esteem, social isolationism, problems at work, dating and/or marital problems, and so many other issues. Without a doubt, depression can completely destroy one's life.
The book then continues with detailed examples of Yoga poses you can do right in your own home. Each example includes an excellent illustration and the instructions are detailed, telling you exactly how to perform the pose as well as how long to hold it for. All of the Yoga poses detailed in the book are poses that you can easily do. There's nothing in the book that requires you to be a contortionist, or anything like that.
After listing a variety of poses for depression the book gives an overview of migraines and headaches. Poses are then presented that can help sufferers manage this problem. An overview of constipation is then given and Yoga poses are illustrated for this problem.
This is not a short e-book, like so many are these days. The book is meaty and long and provides a lot of information for the reader.

Pictures of the poses, how to do poses, benefits of poses, and how long to stay in poses. You need to know your own limits, this book also tells you when you should not do a pose.
This is a good read for beginners. Lots of information......I would recommend this book for starters. You have to begin somewhere,here's your chance.
If you enjoy yoga like me, all yoga books are good. I recommend this book. I reference back to it often.
The book is actually a pretty good reference. I'm no yogi or anything, but I dabble. The book gives the description of the position, as well as a little picture of it. Then it tells you what the position is good for. I've found it a great help.
There are better books and DVD's out there that combat depression, constipation, headaches. I just did not care for this whatsoever. I do not recommend it. It is not well written. It did not deliver.
I love this book. I needed something like this. I've been under a lot of stress at work lately caused by a "difficult" co-worker. All this stress and the negative emotions are taking a toll on me both physically and emotionally, and I know from personal experience that this could eventually lead to depression and other mental diseases. I don't want to take antidepressants. I've found that natural remedies are the cheapest and healthiest way to deal with anxiety and early stages of depression. Yoga, thanks to this little book, is helping me feel better.
The book contains a wide variety of Yoga poses to fight and relieve not just depression, but migraine, constipation and headaches. It explains postures very well, and it has a lot of other useful information for beginners. Each pose includes an illustration that shows how it should look like when executed, its step-by-step process of execution, its recommended duration, its benefits and some notes, when necessary, with tips to avoid injuries for a safe yoga.
I am very happy with this book. I would recommend it for anyone who wants to use yoga for depression, fatigue, stress relief or to remain flexible and energized.
