I was reading through a post on another blog at U-comment, I follow when I noticed that I forgot to set my blog up so that my readers would gain more from commenting.
The logic behind adding a do-follow to your blog is simple. It allows people to leave comments and get a link back to the URL that they add to the comment. Pretty simple huh.
Kinda get's you motivated to comment more often doesn't it?
I also added the do-follow to my other blog over at Gaje Master Blogging . I am going to add this to my other blogs but these two are my main ones so comment away but be warned that I do have a few rules to the comments that are left by my readers.
*Comments will be moderated and checked daily.
I will be checking the comments to make sure that they are not inappropriate and that you are not running across my blog and adding a million comments to one post.
*No one liners please
I hate these. I want some serious feedback and not just a one liner giving me a thumbs up. I like to learn by my mistakes and I want to know what my readers think about what I had posted for them to read.
*no spamming
If you spam me, I will get even. I don't need for you to leave a million comments with your site URL, this is not what I intended to happen. I would appreciate it if you wrote a comment and just left your link in it. Don't leave a page and a half telling me all about your site. I will delete these if they look like spam.

I had to write a comment on here. I just finished adding my post on the do-follow over at my new blog. I hope that everyone who enjoys this site, will also enjoy my other site. You can find it by clicking on Gaje Master.
I came to know about the movement from Randa Clay's blog but was disappointed to find that many who joined the movement have decided to revert back to nofollow, thanks to the constant abuse by comment spammers.
From what I hear from bloggers doing it, I think that the traffic gains alone are a reason to keep following comments. You are going to get spam no matter if you have your comments followed or not. As long as you are a good moderator of your comments, there is no reason to switch back.
